CETL Organised Training for Trainers (TOT) on Leadership in Times of Transition
The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at ULAB hosted a Training for Trainers titled 'Leadership in Times of Transition' on June 26, 2025, at the university campus. This session aimed to boost leadership skills and encourage reflective dialogue among faculty members.
The workshop began with an introductory address by ULAB’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jude William R. Genilo, who outlined the background and objectives of the session. Five faculty members participated in the workshop, which built upon CETL’s ongoing leadership development initiatives. Professor Genilo emphasised the university’s commitment to empowering educators through strategic vision and institutional support.
Dr. Sarkar Barbaq Quarmal, who facilitated the workshop, shared insights from the pilot workshop he conducted on May 24 and presented a roadmap for future improvements. He stressed the importance of self-evaluation, mentorship, and alignment with institutional goals to ensure academic excellence in changing times.
CETL Director Dr. Mohammad Shazzad Hossain concluded the session by discussing actionable strategies and future directions for enhancing faculty leadership. He underscored the significance of adaptive approaches in the evolving educational landscape.
The event provided a meaningful platform for discussion, peer learning, and continued professional growth for ULAB faculty.
