The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) honored exemplary faculty and student contributions at the Educational Innovation Symposium 2025 (EIS25), held on 14 November. Organized by the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) in collaboration with the Blended Learning Committee, the event concluded with the announcement of the symposium’s best papers and posters, selected by an external expert jury.

In the category of Creative Teaching Practices and Technology-enhanced Learning, the Best Paper Award went to Private University Readiness for Hybrid Learning in Bangladesh, authored by Jude William Genilo, Sarkar Barbaq Quarmal, and Mohammad Aminul Islam. In the Curriculum Innovation and Innovative Assessment Methods category, the Best Paper Award was presented to Exploring E-Readiness in Online Filmmaking Education in Bangladesh by Mohammad Shazzad Hossain.

Under Student Contributions to Educational Innovation, the Best Paper recognition went to Ecology of Tech-based Education in ELT Inspired through Sci-fi Movies: Policies and Practices in Bangladesh, authored by M. A. Rahat and Golam Kader Zilany. The Best Poster Award in the same category was presented to Naveen Islam Toree and Jannatul Mawa.

This year’s jury comprised Professor Dr. Farheen Hassan, the Director of IQAC at AIUB; Professor Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, Director of CETL at Green University; and Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Director of IQAC at Leading University. After a blind review of submissions across the symposium’s thematic tracks, they identified standout work representing innovation in pedagogy, curriculum, and technology integration.

Speaking about the winners, Professor Shihavuddin noted that the selected works reflect emerging leadership in teaching innovation. He added that the symposium continues to build a platform for meaningful research and experimentation in higher education. CETL-ULAB announced that next year’s conference will expand its competitive segments to encourage broader participation from across the globe.
