ULAB Conducts Faculty Orientation Programme Spring 2026
The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held its New Faculty Orientation Programme Spring 2026 on January 12, organized by the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). The program focused on introducing newly recruited faculty members to ULAB’s academic philosophy, institutional policies, and teaching values. Fourteen faculty members attended this programme.
The programme opened with welcoming remarks by Professor Jude William Genilo, PhD, Acting Vice-Chancellor of ULAB. Prof. Shamsad Mortuza, PhD, advisor, BOT, facilitated a session on the significance of liberal arts education which was followed by an address from Professor Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee, Treasurer and Professor, School of Business, who highlighted teaching as a noble profession and emphasized integrity and dedication.
The day-long programme included sessions covering academic careers, research, institutional policies, mental well-being, and responsible communication, with contributions from Prof. Nafees Mansoor, PhD; Wazir A. F. Ahmad, PhD; Mohammad Shazzad Hossain, PhD; Sarkar Barbaq Quarmal, PhD; Sameera Zaman, Arzoo Ismail, and Bikash Basak.
The programme included a cake cutting session, marking a warm and collegial welcome for the new faculty members and reinforcing ULAB’s commitment to a supportive academic community.
