Like every other semesters, in this semester (spring, 2019) CETL also organized a workshop for the new faculties. The workshop was organized through different relevant sessions distributed in two days. In the first day, different sessions discussed agendas such as ULAB’s Mission, Vision, and Objectives, ULAB’s academic guidelines, grading policies, professional development initiatives, student advising through URMS and using Moodle effectively.
In the second day sessions, academics were familiarize with more pedagogical aspects such as, what is the bigger picture of teaching and learning, how to make class interactive, what is the pathway for academic professional development, how building a research profile could be effective, what is academic ethics and how to build it and how to build academic integrity. Apart from listening to different resource person experts in the above-mentioned topics, new faculties were also offered opportunities to share their thoughts, ideas, and concerns to build up some participatory discussions.
