Elevating Education: ULAB's Faculty Shines in TAL-11
The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) recently played host to the Teaching for Active Learning (Batch 11) certificate course, a collaborative effort between the Foundation for Learning, Teaching, and Research (fLTR) and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). Twenty-six faculty members from eight prestigious Bangladeshi universities gathered for this intensive three-day program, which unfolded from September 14th to 16th, 2023, within the confines of ULAB's Research Building in Dhanmondi.
Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Kamrul Ahsan accompanied Prof. Imran Rahman and Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir during the certificate-giving ceremony.
Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, the Chairperson of the fLTR, led the course as its director, offering comprehensive guidance and serving as the primary facilitator. Notably, CETL-ULAB's Director, Dr. Mohammad Shazzad Hossain, conducted an engaging session titled "Effective Habits of High Performing Teachers." This session earned accolades for its pragmatic approach to enhancing teaching practices.

Adding to ULAB's commitment to educational excellence, four faculty members—Nazmun Nur Eva, Md. Asadujjaman Milon, A O M Shamsuddoha, and Kabya Kritthika—actively participated in the course, demonstrating their dedication to advancing teaching and learning skills.

The fLTR, a collaborative initiative led by nine vice-chancellors from reputable universities, remains steadfast in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in higher education across Bangladesh. This certificate course is a testament to their commitment to fostering excellence in education and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement.
