CETL Launches Induction Training for Tertiary Teachers

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at ULAB started the Induction Training for Tertiary Teachers through its first module on ‘Teaching and Learning Strategies’ on February 8, 2025.

The training started with a thought-provoking discussion by Professor Syed Manzoorul Islam, PhD about the construction of learning amid different layers of destruction. Dr. A F Wazir Ahmad introduced the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, followed by Tazin Ahmed, who emphasized learning styles and retention. Dr. Haseeb Irfanullah facilitated a session on active learning, while Golam Kader Zilany discussed how to promote active learning in online lessons. Emphasizing the importance of adult learning perspectives Parven S. Huda shared insights about meaningful engagement of the learners. Dr. Mohammad Shazzad Hossain concluded with a session on effective course management. 

In a nutshell, the session provided practical strategies to empower educators in their new roles, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
