Induction Training for Tertiary Teachers on Student Advising Held

On February 13, 2025, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) successfully conducted the second module of its Induction Training for Tertiary Teachers (ITT2), focusing on ‘Student Advising.’

The event brought together distinguished faculty members and administrative leaders for insightful discussions on key aspects of student advising. Topics covered included the effective use of the facilities ULAB offers, the open credit system, academic advising, co-curricular engagement in student development, and non-academic issues teachers should be aware of. The sessions were facilitated by Nazmul Hossain, Manager; Muhammad Aminuzzaman, Internship Coordinator, MSJ; Arzoo Ismail, Proctor; and Nusrat Tajkia, Coordinator, DEH, each leading discussions within their respective areas of expertise.

Arifa Ghani Rahman, Head of DEH and Dr. Mohammad Shazzad Hossain, CETL Director led discussions on e-learning, technology integration, and institutional policies. The program concluded with a recap session led by Golam Kader Zilany, CETL Coordinator reinforcing key takeaways and best practices in student advising.
