CETL Hosts Training on Moodle for Tertiary Teachers
On February 22, 2025, as a continuation of Induction Training for Tertiary Teachers, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) trained teachers about the prospects of technology in teaching and learning providing hands on experience with Moodle, one of the most trusted and widely used learning management systems.
At the beginning of the session, Arifa Ghani Rahman, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English and Humanities (DEH), covered essential Moodle operational techniques, including profile management, course setup, and assignment creation. Following this, Dr. Sarket Barbaq Quarmal, Associate Professor of Department of Media Studies and Journalism, introduced the concept of question banks and demonstrated how to optimize its use in Moodle.
Finally, Dr. Mohammad Shazzad Hossain engaged the participants in interactive discussion on how effective course planning through Moodle can enhance learning and create multidimensional learning opportunities.
